as an update in my life, im still royally fucked in the ass from Rutgers. They found it completely funny to take such a low number and screw us in the lottery. 1100 folks. we had 1100. the CUT OFF last year was 1600 . like damn. who the fuck’s idea was it to make it 874 for this year?

if you dont understand what im talking about because you go to some awesome/better school thats NOT rutger’s let me explain:

Rutger’s uses a “random” lottery system in order to give students a “fair” chance at housing on campus. Every non-commuting student applies for this number every year around the end of Jan. and by the first week of Feb you recieve your number by email. Usually any number above 2,000 is a shitty number. In the case that over 12,000 (yes 12 THOUSAND) students apply, it leaves a good 90% of people fucked.

Now from there, every week opens a new application for a different part of housing on campus. Busch suites one week, Busch appartments the next, Douglass suites one week, and so-on. Thus for a suite, you gather 5 of your friends (6 in total, simple math peoples) and then you guys apply with the LOWEST number of the group.

Now in my 6-person group 5 of us got a lottery number OVER 5000, and our one “savior” steve got the 1100. Which was going to be an awesome number and our sure-fire way into a Busch suite.

In the end, we’re fucked because the cutoff was 874 this year. And most of you probably dont give a living shit about any of this. But this is our blog so im telling you how Rutger’s likes to fuck 90% of it’s students who are paying 23k a year to go to this place.

Dont get me wrong, i love Rutgers. I just think it’s full of retardeddddd ideas and systems.
